Safety Data Sheet

Please be sure to perform your own tests before creating your candles in bulk as it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of the finished product by conducting all necessary tests.

 Candle Makers Notes:

Paraffin 130 is best used as a base for creating your very own custom candle blend or for use an additive with the blend you are using. It is important to note it has other uses ranging from canning to industrial usages. Use Paraffin 130 with Vybar 103 to increase opacity and allow for higher fragrances loads to create a more finish usable candle blend. Stearic Acid is also popular as an additive with Paraffin 130 for this usage. Adding more than 5% Vybar 103 may make the wax wavy in appearance. Add Paraffin 130 to your candle blend to help reduce frosting or as an aid in amplifying hot throw. Use Paraffin 130 as a petrol binder between your natural oil additive, such as with Coconut, Apricot, Olive, etc. The wax has a refined paraffin semi-transparent look. While paraffin is great at releasing oil for enhanced aroma, it is not as adept at holding oil. Add materials such as Soy, Vybar 103, and Beeswax is common to allow for higher fragrance loads.
