12 oz Amber Salsa Jar with black, gold, or silver metal style threaded lid. Wide mouth 3 inch apothecary hooded style design over a 3.5 inch diameter. Available in 12 piece cases with metal style lids.

 Recommended Wicks and Wicking

The 12 oz Salsa Jar has the apothecary jar style which hoods over the top of the jar. Although the Jar is 3.5 inches in diameter, the opening is only 3 inches. This hooding style can be advantageous in protecting the flame from drafts as well as trapping heat to further funnel the hot throw. It is important to remember that when jars hood that they trap in heat. In some cases this may require a smaller wick that what you would normally use. The Salsa jar is a great economy style jar that works great with side labels. Easy to pour and in most cases easy to find the best wick even though its opening is at 3 inches. In some situations and with a lot of testing double wicking may be possible, but stick with small wicks for your testing, such as the ECO-1, CD-2 or CD-3 for double wicking.
