16 oz Cali Jars are made wide to allow for optimal fragrance throw. In theory a wider melted wax pool allows for more fragrance lift increasing the strength and distance of the hot throw. This jar is rather wide which helps aid in managing the heat retention and hotter lower burn that is present in many deep glasses and tumblers. Double wicking is easier, but the triple wicking may allow for a cleaner more stabilized burn along with a quicker yet cooler liquid wax pool. Some triple wick set ups may have an issue with keeping all wicks alight as one side may be drowned out by liquid wax or from starvation of available air lower in the jar. Due to these factors, balancing with the correct size wicks and having a more equilateral evenly spaced triple wick pyramid configuration is necessary. With clear jars it is recommended to use waxes that have good adhesion with minimal shrink. CCS #12, Coconut 83, and Soy 10 are the easier waxes to work with in regards to getting a clean solid look with clear glass jars.
