 Candle Makers Notes:

CCS Value Soy has great side adhesion, even in clear glass for being 100% soy wax in bead form. The top of the candle however tends to bloom and not finish flat. We recommend to heat gun the tops of the candles after 1-2 hours to minimize the blooming and also flatten the top of the candle. In most cases 2 heat gun touch overs were required to get a clean look on the top. The second heat gun touching up can be done within 30 minutes after the first touch up. 8% is recommended for the max fragrance load. After 8% the wax is likely to sweat in hold temperatures of 90F or more. Using Beeswax or Vybar is recommended when going past 8% for the fragrance load. In most cases adding 1-5% Beeswax or Vybar provided an excellent fragrance hold at 10% without affecting adhesion too negatively. CCS Value Soy is also excellent and priced very well for custom blending for making your own custom parasoy, vegetable, or coconut blend.

Its cheap, but you will see why

Matia Gomez on Feb 13th 2025

This wax is definitely a cheaper wax but it also is very very textured. Be sure you have a heat gun. Even with the heat gun though, i struggled to get smooth tops and texture throughout my container candle. I would rather use other soy waxes vs this one. I love the quality of california candle pillar wax. Go for that. ------------------------CCS Response: "Hi Matia, we are sorry to hear you weren't happy with the CCS Value Soy. You are correct, CCS Value Soy on its own is a container blend and like other 100% natural beaded or flaked soy waxes has a lumpy top surface after it solidifies. As we shared on the product page we recommend to heat gun the tops of these candles when working with this wax. It normally takes two rounds of heat gunning to get the wax properly flat. Be sure you are heat gunning when the wax is solid, but still warm. This normally happens after an hour or so after pouring depending on the volume poured. Make sure you are getting an even layer of liquid wax when heat gunning and then heat gun again the same way 30 minutes later. CCS Value soy has excellent side adhesion with minimal shrink and is an excellent choice for use as a soy additive or as the base in your custom wax blend. Let us know if you need any additional assistance. Thank you.

    CCS Value Soy

Lori Broussard on Nov 30th 2023

INSANE cold and hot throw like no other wax. We've tried C3, 464, 454, Coco Soy blends, Soy Paraffin blends and many wicks. This is AMAZING. Perfect single pour WITH 5% beeswax and ECO wicks. STUNNING smooth tops with the Bee's in it.
