Melt and Pour Soap Maker's Notes:

You may reheat your soap many times during crafting. but it is very important to never let you soap go above 160F. When going past 160F your soap will begin to rubberize which will likely ruin your final product. Reheating a few times to get the soap fully liquid is normal. It really helps to stir to break the clumps of the soap so that less heating is required making it much easier to stay below the 160F threshold. Reheating after applying color dye or before adding fragrance is normal. Having your soap at 140-150F before adding fragrance makes it much easier to get the soap properly mix and to keep it a lower viscosity to make pouring easier. It is important to pour slowly when pouring into your mold. The soap may bubble a lot if pouring quickly. Having a few bubbles is normal and spraying alcohol on these bubbles that accumulate on the top surface should clear them out. Spraying a few times is okay, but spraying too much can create foam. You may also melt your soap with direct from a stove or hot plate with the double boiler method, but this process is more difficult and will take longer to get your soap melted.
