Pour at 190°F. Allow candles to cure for at least three days before burning for a more favorable fragrance throw. Recommended Wicks: ECO and CD Series
Recommendations for wicks based on the type of wax used. Fragrance loads and fragrance types may change wick recommendations. Do factor in the jar height as candles may retain more heat causing the candle burn hotter than normal as it burns deeper in a given vessel. Candle Makers Notes: |
Soy 10 is one of the most popular soy waxes in our catalog due to its easy to use and forgiving low viscous properties. It has limited shrink and looks good in clear glass with minimal pulling away. The top of the candle likes to dip a bit by the wick and if you heat gun these out to get the wax even more flat, the candle will pool out more effectively helping with dialing in the right size wick as well as improving the hot fragrance throw and clean burn profile. 3 inch diameter vessels, like with most waxes has proven to be the more challenging size to wick with the most variance in burn profile. When using Beeswax as an additive at 1-5%, an ECO-10 wick has worked quite well. When using no beeswax, we recommend test with a CD-8 first. Be sure to test, then watch the top and the bottom burn profile for variance in the burn to correct this with a wick adjustment and/or Beeswax additive. Finding the best wick sizes/setups for 2.5" diameter containers and double wicking 3.25 - 3.5" containers is usually quite easy with little variance in the burn profile top to bottom. Soy 10 benefits aesthetically from a long set up time, pouring hot at 190F in normal room temperature environments helps ensure limited to low even shrinkage which may be required to get a good look in clear glass. The wax is forgiving and can be poured at lower temperatures due to its low viscosity, but a hotter pour is beneficial for an even limited shrink and flatter candle tops. What makes Soy 10 the most special is its low shrink with low viscous composition while also being fortified and heat resistant for warmer climate conditions. |

HONESTLY THE BEST
Look, half of me doesn't want to leave a review because I want to buy this wax all up for myself. Its THAT GOOD. I've used 464 in the past and had issues but I genuinely have no problem with this wax. My favorite part is that it can hold a high fragrance load which others don't. It always dries smooth and looks nice and creamy. I haven't added color to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if that works out great too. Its consistent and its now the only wax I use for my containers.
