Recommended Wicks: CD Series
Recommendations for wicks based on the type of wax used. Fragrance loads and fragrance types may change wick recommendations. Do factor in the jar height as candles may retain more heat causing the candle burn hotter than normal as it burns deeper in a given vessel. Candle Makers Notes: |
CCS #12 is a true one pour blend that is easy to work with, delivering good adhesion and flat candle tops without needing heat gunning. However, due to its oily consistency and minimal shrinkage properties, it may not be very heat resistant and can sweat in warmer climates or direct sunlight much like Coconut 83. Beeswax has proven effective in helping with its heat retention while Vybar can be used for those who prefer vegan options. When using additives such as these, we recommend keeping loads between 1-5% to avoid worsening the blends' adhesion properties. The CD series wicks are stable burning wicks recommended when working with CCS #12's oily consistency since performance wicks like ECO have a more volatile burn profile." |

My #1 Wax
I am absolutely in love with this wax this is my 4th purchase and I will continue to buy! Smooth tops every time as well as great adhesion!
-
Overall good wax
I'm giving this wax 5 stars, because it has a good hot and cold throw and consist smooth top. After testing this wax, I have realized a curing time of about 7 days most, and if beeswax is added for hardness it does not affect the hot throw, cure time or wick size. Also blends well with other wax such as the coconut 83 and soy 10. Overall a great substitute for when other waxes are not available.

Amazing!!
I purchased this wax because I ran out of my other wax from candle science. I used this wax a few days ago and it is amazing!! This wax is easy to use/cut when it cures in my vessels it’s so smooth and creamy. I’m amazed because I always had to use a heat gun to smooth out my tops, not with this wax!!! The cold and hot throw is way better than the wax I originally use. I will definitely be switching to this wax from here on out! My only complaint is the delivery time 2weeks is a long time to wait when you have orders. But this can be fixed, I just have to pay closer attention to my inventory and order in advance before I run out LOL. All in all I 100% recommend this wax

BAD BATCH
I ordered 2 sample 3lb batches of this before ordering a larger batch and I loved it. However when I ordered a 22lb batch there was NO hot throw at all. I messaged them and never received a reply back. I won’t order from them anymore and made sure to post in the candle groups. To my surprise another person had complaints also which were ignored. Super disappointed because when I did try this wax it was amazing but the larger batch was a bust. I won’t be purchasing anymore products from this company ever again. Hi Helen, We have been in contact with you and would still like to continue to assist you with this wax. Please email us back detailing your candle making process so we can further help you.

Lots of wet spots but smooth tops
I’ve been searching for the cure time and haven’t found anything yet. I haven’t gotten to burn a candle with this yet because I have no idea how long to cure. I’ve noticed a higher pour helps with the wet spots and have great cold throw but no clue as to hot throw. Hello, CCS #12 has an efficient burn profile and setup with a flat top. Both of these characteristics allow this wax to easily pool out to the sides resulting in easier achieved hot throws. In regards to cure time, our testing has showed optimal hot throws could be gained as early as 3 days of curing. CCS #12 will benefit from a colder pour and a quicker set up due to its higher viscosity. Hotter pours may cause the wax to cure unevenly resulting in wet spots.
